VAUXHALL JOSEPH FRAY GRIFFIN CAR MASCOT ORNAMENT M-69

$199.00
Vintage style Vauxhall Joseph Fray Griffin with Pennant car mascot/hood ornament.  It is made from solid bronze and is approx 4 1/2" high.  This emblem, which is still in use, is derived from the soldier who was granted the Manor of Luton for services to King John in the thirteenth century.  By marriage, he also gained the rights to an area near London, south of Thames.  The house he built, Fulk's Hall, became known in time as Vauxhall.  Vauxhall Iron Works adopted this emblem from the coat of arms to emphasis it's links to the local area.  Since the 1920's the Griffin has been redesigned and released 9 times.  This is a replica of the 1920's version. This is an individual piece there may be small differences between the pictures and the physical piece. This adds to the exclusivity of this ornament.
